    Front suspension sagging

Driver’s side front end I have just noticed is sagging about 5 -10 cm lower than the passenger side, I have looked at the spring which looks ok from what I can see, will it be broken, or a knackered shock absorber ?

how can I test to be sure what has happened?

Did you check this parked on an absolutely flat surface? Just one corner cant drop in isolation.

But they do sag, even many aftermarket springs on the front when you put extra weight on such as any combination of bullbar, batteries, winch etc. The spring wont have failed, it has just sagged. Shocks wont affect ride height, even monotubes like Bilstein.

Measure on an absolutely flat floor. Other than that you will need to replace or shim the springs.
    Cheers

Thanks Slunnie, think you are right, just drove to Autobarn and they were same height there when parked. Whilst it looks flat at home, obviously it is not. Will keep an eye on it, thanks again.
