i think the general advice is dont use 15w in the td5
I've always used fully synthetic 10/40 in my TD5. I see SuperCheap have a special of $19.97 for 5 litres of Nulon 15/40.
Is there any risk to my donk if I take advantage of this offer?
Thanks,
Pete

If you look at the Nulon site they do not recommend that oil for TD5.
They recommend 10/40 full synthetic diesel oil.
I wouldn't use it. the lowest spec I will use is 5w 40 Penrite semi synthetic which is recommended and used by many on here.
Up until now I have used Nulon 5W30 full synthetic diesel oil but bought some Penrite on special and think a slightly heavier oil would be good for my modded motor.

Have a look at the Penrite site. It specifically mentions hydraulic injector engines ie TD5
HPR DIESEL 5 5W-40 (Semi Syn.) | Penrite Oil
Thanks for those prompt replies. If I had spent a bit more time reading the ad and not rushed it as dinner was nearly ready I would have seen that it is mineral oil and I would not do that to my engine. Sticking with 10/40 FS.
Thanks for your replies people.
