    Removing roof bars

    Hi guys,
Can the factory roof bars be removed from outside - or does the headliner have to come out??
    Cheers, Charles

Got to drop hood lining. Bit of extra hassle if you have rear a/c (drilling out rivets, etc).

Definitely a headliner removed job. I removed mine to reseal (Sikaflex) them as part of chasing my leaking roof issue. As mentioned above required the drilling out of some pop rivets which is a pain as if the drill bit catches and spins it it melts the plastic that it's securing in place.
