No fun in the game anymore. Dealer's Licences were introduced. Dealers have to give warranty. You have to have premises approved by the local authority for sale and display. Stock needs a Safety Certificate. Can't just buy a few at auction and put them on a vacant lot with a few signs and streamers and, Hey! Presto, you were a car dealer.
We did worse things than those I wrote about in the earlier post. Customers were fair game. Caveat emptor. Customers were called heads, *******, wood ducks. A shop full of heads could be a good things as whilst some would be ******* (non-buyers, time wasters and tyre kickers), some could turn out to be wood ducks (mugs who could be stitched up easily into any old rubbish).

I have always carried ground pepper in my toolbox "Just in Case" Much better than that radiator stop leak stuff that bogs up the entire radiator because the excess pepper is easily flushed out of the cooling system when you get home.
For a bigger hole that 2 part metal putty does a pretty good job, I haven't tried egg whites for this.

We gave it the full treatment today , replaced the gearbox oil with beef mince AND banana skins, drained the engine oil and replaced it with 50 ml of snake oil , but you really should run coolant ....... What's that!!! , you filled it with egg whites , pepper and mustard..........perfect, have a free after dinner mint .....not for you, for the car of course.
Enjoy your lap of Australia

I use Penrite HPR5 5W40 full Synthetic in my TDV6 2.7, change every 5K. my simple take is Black = Carbon = Aggressive Abrasive, irrespective of oil capability. At Phillip Island Historics this year I spoke to a lot of the classic mini drivers who need a universal oil to serve the needs of box diff and engine.
They seem to be moving to Castrol edge. The main reasons being that "on stripdown, a good film of this oil remains on all surfaces. this is good for the potential damage of startup impacts. detergent properties of this oil is also good
