Carl Johnson which has fallen off the face of the earth
That is where this came from as it was the prototype for D2a which is slightly different to the early D2
My pics are the type that would suit all D2`s after Carl had rejigged so he only had to have one tray to suit all D2`s

Is yours silver because it was the prototype? I have a black one. Hoping it's the second generation version as I have a D2a not a D2...

Mine is still sitting here unused. Pity your not local as I'd loan it to you to copy.

Mine is stainless as a special for using my car as the mule
I think yours should be ok as when he advertised them i asked the question if they suited a D2a .
He didn`t know at the time they were (D2a`s) slightly different so im pretty sure i remember you getting one after he modified them to suit all D2`s

Where does it go? Expression of interest posts are not allowed in the sale forum. It is also not a group buy. It is a project, that evidently people are interested in. I genuinely have no clue where else to put it other than the D2 section as it relates specifically to D2's. If there was a product to sell, than yeah it belongs in the sale yard, but there isn't one.

Before moving it, please at least PM me to explain where this should go and why so next time i can get it right.

Respectfully I would agree with the above to the mods that it would be for the benefit of the community for us to be able to read up about one of our members development in this area. It's clearly got a few of us interested already who would like to continue to follow it.

Perhaps a caveat that if it does develop further into an expression of interest/buy it's not mentioned until private discussions have occurred with the mods first?

    Yep,, EOI's belong in Ebay,,
And, to sell stuff on AULRO you need to be a Vendor,,,

There are valid reasons for this...

The reason this site is here is to help LR owners,, for nearly 16 years now,,

We will help you all we can,, you need to play by the rules,, maybe a PM to a MOD and ask questions?

How else can we help you Jazzman?

I was contemplating doing a similar EOI, once I got more feedback/durability info on the one I made for my bro a few months back, I was going to try to do it as a group buy once I decided on a fabricator to make them.

So would it be OK as a 'group buy' kind of EOI.
That is, find out how many folks are interested, once a number has been established locate a fabricator and try to get as low a price as possible based on a bulk job lot.

Would that have been contra to AULRO rules?

It seems only the D34 size optima batteries will fit. The yellow tops are 55Ah and 750CCA. The red tops are 50Ah and 800CCA. For my purpose I think i'll use 2X yellow tops. But I just cannot squeeze enough room out of the D2 behind the headlight to fit the next size up as it is 50mm longer, which isn't the issue it is the height.

I could potentially lay them down

If it helps i ran a red top as the Starter batt and the yellow top as the Aux batt
