I would be replacing your damper with standard ( no spring ) if your old one is no good .
Hello!!! I want to put instead of the regular RETURN TO CENTER STEERING DAMPER Toughdog SS5003P. Can someone already deal with it? Or maybe you advise something else? Thank you very much !!!

RTC steering dampers mask faults until they become big issues...
Replace with a good quality “conventional” unit...
which is better from the standard take? Terrafirma I do not want
I've used a tough dog RTC steering damper on a RRC. It worked fine and had no issues with quality. Just read the instructions on how to set it before fitting it. I assume it would work on a D2 as well, but don't do it until you can be confident the alignment is correct.
By alignment I mean:
The front wheels have some tow OUT (Mine is 1.3mm each side)
The caster is OK (mine is 1.5 degrees with a 2" lift, think it is 3 degrees std)
The front diff is in the centre of the car where it is meant to be. (If you have a lift it has moved to the side, unless you have an adjustable panhard rod)
You'll also notice the distance between the centre of the FR to RR is shorter than the distance between the FL and RL by somewhere between 2-5mm. This is normal.
I've been considering it too, just want to double check everything else is right first.
RTCs are a **** idea. They work, but mask important and dangerous failings of the front steering and suspension. Eventually these can show themselves in dangerous manners..
+1
If you "need" one you have bigger issues to sort out that, once sorted, mean you don't need one.
