Hi, even if the bulletin is called "Fuel Door Fails to Open" it refers to "FUEL DOOR DOES NOT PROPERLY LATCH OR UNLATCH" so might be usefull: https://landroverclubvi.weebly.com/u...ls_to_open.pdf

inside the fuel door compartment on the left hand side is a little black plastic clip this catches and holds the door flap in the closed position, they are notorious for breaking.

The secret when fitting a new fuel door plastic clip is to put it in a mug of boiling water for a few seconds before pushing it into position.
If you fit them "cold" you stand a good chance of buggering up the little clip that goes into the hole when you fit it

Mine wouldn't shut after refuelling one time, plastic bit wasn't broken, turned out that I had hit the metal tab the plastic bit is with the fuel nozzle. Slight bend of tab towards rear fixed it.

    Most likely causes:
1/ You have closed the cap to position it fouls the door. Yes. turn the cap a quarter turn and it will close
2/ you bent the tab inwards with the filler. bend it back a bit.

It could be missing the wee plastic thing - but I'm laying good odds you will be "Doh!" when you go and look :0

happens to me all the time, mine is i don't screw the lid on far enough. Keep turning the lid until the door can shut, that is if that is the problem and nothing else
