Mirrors on the blink, and clarity on the blinkers :)

Couple of Q’s for the disco 2 brains trust..

First, side mirrors. My passenger side mirror works fine, drivers side is only has up and down, no left R functioning (can still move it around by hand just not electrically)

Is there a common area of fault for these? As both are on the same fuse, and the passenger side works, I’m thinking it kinda has to be either the motor in the mirror, or wires somewhere between the interior switch and the motor. Can’t hear the motor going for Lt Rt, can for up down.

Second, I have an early D2 so no facelift lights. I prefer that but quite like the clear indicators. Cheapest I can find is on ebay $92 from the old country. Any tips on where to get them at a better price?

To figure out where the problem is measure for voltage at the mirror's plug across a grey/white and black/blue wires while you work left/right with the switch... if you get voltage you know the motor is gone if no voltage the problem is with the switch or the circuit, if you are lucky to be the motor there is a cheaper alternative cos LR sells only the whole assy notthe mechanism... this one Ford Mondeo Galaxy Transit Electric Adjustable Door Mirror Motor Actuator | eBay is suitable, verified by me

Think mirrors have two motors each - one for horizontal, one for vertical. From memory they’re molded in and not serviceable/replaceable.

Yeah mate, I believe so. I’d double check but 99% sure, at least one of the vendors i saw on ebay said they had an orange light
