FYI don't bother with the dampner. When I bought my 2003 D2a it didn't have that dampner fitted. I sourced the longer bolt and the dampner and fitted - no noticeable difference. I have left it there though.

So new pin didn’t solve the problem. Bush still moves around. Only thing to do is sleeve it. Annoying.

If it's moving it means the bush isn't being clamped correctly by the nut and washer.

    Watts link centre pin

There is no way to muck that up. I’ve even added a washer to fill whatever for/aft gap is there.

The issue is the bush moves vertically and horizontally around the pin.

There’s about a 1mm clearance between the inner inner sleeve of the bush and the pin.

Genuine bush and pin? If aftermarket, are they both from the same mob?
I may have to do the same thing soon, hence the interest.

Yes but even if the gap was 0.01mm it would still rotate steel on steel instead of via the rubber bush. Something else is wrong with the bush inner tube length vs the pin. Perhaps there is supposed to be a washer on the diff side of the pin, I can't remember exactly how they're assembled myself, it's been a while since I worked on the back end of one.
