2 X phillips head screws per number plate light under your rear door handle is how i did mine.
No swearing no torx screws no wd spray no easy outs needed.
That is the easy way to do it![]()
I am glad I have got RAVE. The instructions are clear even for a non mechanic to follow.
1 Remove door card
2 Remove control rod from exterior handle
3 Disconnect light loom.
4 Remove 3 torx screws. Hmm where are my easy outs? These 7 Nm screws are rusted in!!
5 Curse and swear.
6 Look for easy outs.
7 Spray WD40 on screws.
This was going to be an easy job, so I thought.
Bugger.

Yes, they are torx screws by the way, and if you had read the thread you would see that I am replacing the lamp holder and the gasket. The gasket has failed and water and crap have got in and corroded the lamp holder. You can change the lamp holder as you say. how often will you do that if the gasket leaks?

Do you have a source for the gasket as mine is knackered in one corner, so would also like to prevent water ingress.
Are they available new or just second hand.
I have cleaned the lenses and lamp holders once before and they are starting to look a bit "off" again so may be time to do the job properly.
