    Saas water sensor

    Hi all would like to know where people have hooked up their second water temperature sensor I have in the past cut the top hose and added an adapter but with new silicon hoses I don't want to cut hose if possible. Pictures if possible and if tapping into outlet housing what size drill bit and what size and type of tap do I use thanks all for any help.

    You can tap in the elbow or use a rivnut, what tap to use only you can decide depending on what thread your sensor has, mine was 1/8 NPT

    Not a bad idea but is the metal of the tube thick enough for a reliable seal?

    I used the MadMan Sandwich Adapter (spacer) on mine - Madman Developments - Temperature Adapters

    IMO it has enough "flesh". A bit of loctite on the sensor and i had no problems at all, it stays tight ad no leak

    Another alternative is this totally new housing from Buzzweld(UK).

    A bit expensive at 80 Pounds, but the additional sensor port can fit just about any sensor you like being M22.

    Buzzweld coolant housing for TD5

    considering how many of these TD5 housings corrode at the hose outlet, the new housing would be my preference.
