Thread: Ultraflex 4x4 - Headlight Conversion

I was asked to find these lights by a few local 4x4 clubs searching for better lights that are Legal in NSW , VIC and QLD. After studying ARD46/00 and many exhaustive discussions with Chinese Manufacturing companies over several months I was able to Locate, modify and certify these lights for Australian useage.

Genuinely Legal

Certified by SAE, DOT, and E Mark and I have the proof of certification.

LEGAL in ALL Australian States under:

ADR 46/00 section 7.8
Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 46/00 - Headlamps) 2006

The guy has done his research. I'd be asking for the proof of certification.

Other than that, if you want to compare them to incandescent, the 130W claim is meaningless. Being LED, I reckon it draws way much less. Lumens is a more accurate comparison.

If they are indeed certified for use in Australia, I'd be prepared to give them a go, if not for the $440 asking price.
I thing I'll stick to the 55/60 H4.

This same guy is going around telling folk he designed and builds these lights! He is a bit unhinged and not a very nice person at all, and i have the screen shots to prove it.

Why would you bother when you can buy a good priced Narva kit to convert any H4 system ?

What is the conversion kit do?

Here is a thread I started not long ago..spoke to the guy and the lights are marked with relevant approval. I asked him a lot of questions and did research and was satisfied that they are very good lights and approved in Qld.

I wonder what halogens are?

There are quite a few threads on these LED bulb replacements in stock halogen reflectors. Dont generally fit and crap overall. The Ultraflex are tbe genuine article for an upgrade.
