    Liquid Intelligence

I know there will be some haters, but my mechanic said i should give it a try, he has heard of good reports from locals who have used it. Looking at the 230 Stop leak seal expander. Any one on here tried it? Hoping it might slow my auto fluid leak for a while.

I don't have an issue with stop leak/seal swellers.
They can give you some breathing space by slowing things down and sometimes the leak even stops!

Usually when it lets go later though.....Liquid Intelligence

Give it a go not much too loose

other option is get a RRC oil pan with the dip stick and just top it up every 1000km or so with cheap dex3 oil

RRC oil pan with the dip stick

    Hi Lyonsy,

I had not heard before that there is an autotrans oil pan replacement for the D2, that has a dip stick.
That sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

Can you please supply more details about how to specify it and where one can be got?

And: can the auto trans be topped up through the dip-stick tube?

    Cheers,
    AndrewMilne

RRC or D1 auto pans both have dipstick type fillers, and yes can be topped up .. has a 'level' dipstick that helps.

** Why they removed this feature makes you wonder .. Did the $5-10 per car lower cost make that much difference to overall profit? .. just add $5-10 more per vehicle to the sale price!

all zf auto rrc and apparently the d1 too have a pan with a dip stick, so just go to a wrecker and ask for a zf oil pan and dip stick setup.

yes it is how they are filled up.

may have to mod the the dipstick tube to make it fit
