I have had bulbs that look ok but had a broken filament only seen when you give the glass a flick with your fingernail, you need a test light or multimeter and check for power.

I'm not much with electrical but if it was me I would use a multi meter to check the earth and a test light to see if their is power to the light assembly at least you can then rule the light assembly in or out.

Found the problem it was a fuse in the end ,in the disco there is 2 fuse one for left and one for right rear pillars ,we did not have a user manual , but saying that the left fuse looked ok but we replaced it and bingo had lights,
