Thread: Double din D2

Thought this would be worth a share. I seems much easier than some of the other options i’ve seen.

Almost fits, we’ll fits good enough for a bodge job without cutting the fascia at all!! You could even paint the frame black and would be even less noticeable.

Because back part is even smaller than a single din it allows you to just angle it down to suit the fascia shape and it doesn’t fowl on the ac unit at all

I think i’m just going to cut the upper edge of facia about 10mm up x 10mm deep to have it ‘sit’ on the lower edge of the opening. Bit worried about that causing the fascia to rattle against the body of the double din unit. Might pit some thin black foam tape to stop the rattle

It’s a Sony XAV-AX1000

Its actually a single din with I guess a 7" screen, just need a spacer to cover the gap.
