Not sure about the TD5 in general but 5 volt ain't going to run your fuel pump.check fuses ?
Purchased a "spare parts" TD5 and want to get running to put it in a shed. The fuel pump has no normal operational sounds like my daily driver.
The fuel pump harness has 5 volts in it. The fuel filter has no water trap attached (wires hanging loose). Engine turns over easily,my computer reads "open voltage" at the fuel pump
What advise, please. (the car`s purpose is as parts only and it has been useful already).

5V is the input to the level sender, you must get 12V on the white/purple wire at the pump's plug, check fuse F10 and if it's good swap the pump relay to rule it out, if still no joy remove the relay and bridge the perpendicular cavities in the fusebox then you should get 12V at the pump, if not the circuit is interrupted somewhere
Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
Any other weird things happening ?. Maybe oil in the ecu plug. ( the infamous red plug)
