    Running rough after refill r

    Hi guys

my D2 v8 has developed a rough idle and shake after refilling yesterday. I have check all the fluids and all appears to be ok. Has anyone else had this issue, could it be a dirty fuel system?

    Cheers

Shell 91 octane, just seems pretty strange that it was the only thing that changed yesterday. Before the fuel ran fine, after fuel running like a bag of snot

I have been running 91 for around 2500km not an issue, think it might be a dirty injector or plugs.

Although my D2a V8 runs much better on 98 or 95 octane petrol I have had to run it on 91 octane occasionally as that was the Only petrol available at times in my travels and the truck still ran OK.
It sounds like the fuel you got was contaminated most likely with water, Try putting half a litre of metho in the tank this has worked wonders for me in cars and boats that have water contamination issues

I have found it to be a false economy to run 91 octane in my D2a V8 as not only do you loose performance and risk damage to the engine I found that the fuel usage was higher per Km than it is for 95/98 octane so any savings at the bowser are easily eaten up by the poor fuel economy with the 91 octane fuel.

For me as well, but I notice that today's Metho is not the same brew that we were able to drink back then.

Seems to contain all sort of other **** so possibly a risk for other fuel components????. Tell me I'm wrong, right?

Used 91 for all my D1's 24 year life & only ever added Meths & the odd Injector cleaner. 91 was the LR recommended fuel for her.

I have no idea in regard to the drinking quality of metho over the years But I still find that it is just as useful for the myriad of things it is good at doing as it was in years gone by.
