    SLS compressor rebuilt

    Hi all
I have just done an SLS rebuild and made a big mistake. Years ago a mates compressor let go. Turned out it was the bearing on the rod of the piston so I though while I’m at it I’ll do my bearing as well. $10 from the bearing shop happy days.

Here’s the thing. The bolt on the cam shaft it REVERSE threaded I busted the nut thinking it was just locktite... no good

Then I when through the scrap in the shed and we busted the other one the same way years ago. Forgot about that slow learner

Bummer. Is it salvageable? Not sure if the bagpipeandy kit has that part or not

The second kit with the cylinder is same as the ring kit one but just has the cylinder added, so no luck with the bolt🤷🏿*♂️

    SLS compressor rebuilt

I got the cylinder kit as well no bolt or bearing. I was only replacing the bearing as preventative due to seeing my mates bearing die. No indication anywhere that it’s a reverse thread
