No you don't, but of course the more bits you change the better the result should be, I'm guessing you are going hybrid?

The original d2 intercooler is a fairly poor looking affair, however,I upgraded mine to the late model one and haven't really noticed Any difference, I would suggest when the time comes to go aftermarket....$$$

I put an d2a intercooler into my 99 d2 and with an Td5inside map it has done wonders to the disco

Check and see if there’s a group buy on the hybrid cores? I keep saying I’ll get one and something always takes priority!! Like a new rear bar after the P plater reversed into a pole!!

I'm guessing that the same theory applies to 'P-plating proof' something .. they'll find a way around it.
