Discovery 2 flares vs offset vs lift vs tyres

Hi guys new to the forum, ive looked through heaps of posts and couldnt really see what im looking for, ive a d2 with 2 inch lift with factory 18s, now i want to fit 33s to the car, im going to get extended flares and new 16 inch wheels, now this is the fun bit, i want to run ideally a 305 or 285 tyre and wondering if any of you guys run this size and could assist with that offset vs what size flare i would need, im keen on the 75mm flares but what wheel offset to suit to be bang on the limit of the flares.... thanks guys

Your start point should not be here on the Forum, instead it should be looking up your States rules and regulations on modifying the vehicle then engaging in the initial applications and discussions with the States regulatory body and your automotive engineer that you will use. This will dictate the maximum offset wheels you can run and maximum type size increase you can have.
Personally, I run 33’ tyres (285/75R16 I think) on Dynamic 15” x 8” steel wheels which have +30mm offset (technically +32mm is the legal limit but they let it past with common sense), Les Richmond Automotive White Tiger 75mm flare kit and a 3” suspension lift (2” spring and 1” spacer at the front and 3” spacer for the rear SLS). Nil rubbing issues - I have the small steering stops in place still as well. The tyres fit within the flares. It’s all engineered with compliance plate for here in Tasmania. I had the option of an extra inch suspension lift but couldn’t see the point given the tyres fit as is, I couldn’t legally fit larger tyres and the negative handling effects.

Do you have any pictures of how the wheels sit in the flares please, thanks for the info
