The plugs and leads have been replaced, coil pack (a new one) should hopefully be the final fix.

I had some Red RTV left over from the gasket replacements, seems to be holding up ok on the hose fix - not the prettiest of jobs but it should do until I find a replacement.

Google “plastic pipe welding” for businesses in your area, they may be able to help you with a permanent repair... worth a try i reckon.

Morning all,

During the several mishaps of late the cat seems to be well and truly smoked. The loud rattling noise coming from it is now competing for first place in volume along side the heavily juddering mis.

Is there a way I can silence it whilst I decide what to do next? That being said, what is best to do next?

Mate it sounds to me like ur cat is blocked. That will cause power loss and the cat to be glowing as described in a previous post. Take it off and break the ceramic monolith out of it. For testing purposes you could disconnect the exhaust to try it first.
