Why do you think you need to go to 32's?
I know this has been done to death over the years but after searching I'm still not sure if 32's will fit without rubbing on stock height suspension?
And I understand that realistically if 32's rub they will rub even on a lift when articulating.
Any definitive answers please?
And I don't want to lift the car, I like keeping the CofG as low as possible and it's already being raised by fitting taller tyres.

31 is the biggest Rick before lift. Even 31 stock very minor rubbibg depending on tyre type. Cheers
Not quite 32's on stock suspension sls rear, yes does rub on full lock but I'm to lazy to adjust steering stops no noticeable rubbing anywhere else
Has lost a bit of power on steep hills I think it would be a lot more noticeable if towing. Speedo is out by roughly 10%

I've never had an issue with my 245s Rick.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
You May have needed them on your Deefer But you don't "Need" them on a D2.
I have run yokohama Geolander 245/70/16's and am now running 245/70/16 Micky Thompson ATZ P3's on my D2a and have had absolutely No dramas on Mud, deep sand, rocks and slippery shale and that includes up and down steep tracks.
The only advantage of the taller tyres is that you won't have to pick your line as carefully on rocky tracks or in deep ruts but where is the fun in that.

245/75/16 and 235/85/16 both work fine on standard suspension with no issues.
