Yip...that's the same as us...just fixed the seals on the original unit and refitted..all good now.
Got to be an issue with the aftermarket units....seems like the rubber chinesium is failing. TRW were a major disappointment in not responding to our enquiries on country of origin and defects as was the seller in Brisvagus.

SupporterThere is a little check valve at the end of each piston, I had my pedal go to the floor once second application of brakes bought it back up and it never played up but replaced it and stripped the old one to find out what the problem was.
one of the check valve had a small piece peeling off my theory was it held check valve open on the one occasion, the second valve is a bitch to get to and not really worth the hassle.

Hi All,
i need to replace my master brake cylinder on this weekend as it failed to pass rego check due to "fading" pedal.
I'm fine with doing all the work myself (YouTube shows it pretty well and if all else fails i can RTFM), but i don't have a nanocom, so i'm wondering if i can bleed it, without using the force bleed ... can it be done or is it just not worth the time trying ?

You should be able to because you are not introducing air into the Wabco unit. Better if you can bleed the modulator but just exchanging master cylinder, you should be okOriginally Posted by JimDAUS
