Loose battery terminals?
The stock terminals are an abomination and even when tight can be loose.( if you get the drift)
Mine faikled to proceed on the day I bought it, when the dash lit up with every light and the motor stopped.
it was just a battery terminal.

Or a weak battery.
Happened to brother.
TD5 went into immobilisation mode, and only doing the EKA thing with the key in the drivers door lock got it going again.

So, find your EKA code. If you don't have it, locate someone with a nanocom(or other similar device), or go into a LR dealer and enquire about it with your VIN No. and proof of ownership.

There is a sequence you do on the doorlock where lock/unlock the keylock, and it will reenable the car again.

Like Philip A said, could be loose terminals(+ve) and check the earth lead near the battery where it's bolted to the body too, they get a bit scruffy or loose.
Otherwise, also check the condition of the battery.

Is it reacting to the fob unlock command?

So I managed to get her running by putting the battery on charge overnight, now this is where it gets interesting.
The battery is being drained because even without the key, the dash lights come on and the fuel pump kicks in until primed?

Any ideas?

Even worse now she will not turn off with the key. Remove the key from the ignition and the vehicle keeps running. Very strange...

Unplug that brown connector from the interior fusebox and if it stops the problem is with the ignition switch if no change then probably the alternator is fubar so it bacfeeds the fusebox and drained the battery too

Just an out-there question. Do you have a turbo timer installed or even a brake control unit taking it's power from the internal fuse panel ??

Thanks for the pointers, when I removed the brown plug on the fuse box, I noticed a drop of water, so the new fuse box came out, opened had a bit of water inside, that i dryed out with a hair dryer, and also cleaned all the joints, put it back together and presto, everything works as it should.

Here a cold one to hoping it stays that way..
