At last Bullbar on the list.

Have a Polyurethane A frame on the front for the last 10 yrs, my occasional off roading ( and 300,0000k) has left my plastic crap at the front a mess, brackets to the a frame have rusted out, painted corner bits are covered in stone chips, enough!!!, time for the bullbar (and something i can put the rods on at last) Perusing the net looks like ARB are the go (deluxe, winch compatible (no need for me for a winch (i hope), could add one later. These are steel, heavy, what about alloy ones? ECB eg, I know opinions are like a........ every ones got one. Thanks in advance

I have the ARB winch bar, I had the ARB bull bar, but then some one drove into it and their insurance got me the winch bar.
Get a winch, you never know when you might need one. I ahver a 4WD suiper centre one,

After 300K why change? all you are adding is weight...
If the D2 has survived with a poly bar,, what are you going to do different to warrant a steel one?

    not saying dont,,

just.... what else could you spend the dollars on?

Personally I'd keep an eye out on used offerings - given the age of the car and high price of the bulbar new. But make sure it comes with the crush cans and they're in good condition - getting replacements from ARB can take 6 months and around $300.00. The standard Land Rover crush cans don't work as they're different to suit the different conditions of the bullbar on the safety systems.

Thanks for the advice. All the plastic crap underneath is busted and cracks all around thanks to yearly trips to Fraser, have something else to hang the rods on too, can use roof rack for something else. Cheers.
