    Poor pickup. Discovery Td5

    Hello everyone.
I have discovery Td5. 160,000 miles completed. I bought this car from UK when it was completed 125000miles. When it arrived in my hand fuel pump was having very high noise. I changed fuel pump. It was running well for few days. Then it developed starting problems. I have changed harness cable, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump genuine, fuel assembly with non return valve genuine, turbo Westgate, air mass sensor original.
Still there was starting problem. I thought it is the problem of injector nozzle. Removed injector nozzle and took for measuring. In Tanzania no one have measuring tool. But some mechanic was having China made machine for measuring nozzle and he told me nozzle are good. We refixed the nozzle. Now starting problem vanished. No power at all.even small hill cannot climb in second gear. Again I thought it's injector nozzle washers and seals problems. I ordered genuine injectors washer and nozzle from UK. It took 20 days. By the time it's power has improved. It was running fine at level roads. When I took my car for replacing the nozzle washers and seal it was almost fine. But still power was less. I changed the seal and washer. After refixing the nozzle no power again. Even if I stop at before small bump it will not climb. I have to shift for 4 wheel drive. Now I'm much worried. What may the problem for this poor power. Please help anyone

Have you checked for oil in the injector loom at the ecu? Oil can migrate from inside the engine and when it gets to the ecu it can play havoc with sensors whose wires are in the same connector.

    Total loss of power

    Thank you for your suggestions.
I have removed the plug from ECU and found very small oil. I cleaned it. I have not opened ECU. My worry is when I take out injector and put it back total loss of power. That's why I'm doubting on injector nozzle functioning.. kindly share your experiences. Thanks.

As the mods to move your post to the D2 section

When you did the fuel pressure regulator did you replace the small filter in the head?

Heres a video of the process YouTube

The oil doesn't get inside the ecu, only on the contacts. A temporary fix is to wash the loom connector with metho or electrical contact spray cleaner, remove the seal from around the connector so that oil drains then refit.
