Hi Onebob,
Great that you have solved this.
And it looks very neat (and inconspicuous), so well done!

Also here’s a pic from my iPhone beneath my plenum cover - as you say, not much room ....

Phillip’s sikafkex solution also solves the root cause although i expect that when the time comes for eventual removal of either the sikaflex or tape bonds, then that will likely be destructive to the original plenum rubber seal. I found though that there are some readily available rubber extrusions that look like they will work well to cap the top edge of the plenum cover and at the same time a provide a raised edge at the glass contact point to support a bead of sealer which might neatly deal with the warping issue some experience.

I removed the glovebox, and the cardboard kick panel. The loom is attached to the bulkhead just below the heater blower. The blue connector will be found to the left of loom bulkhead clamp covered by a fabric sleeve. Remove the adhesive tape at the end of the sleeve and slide the sleeve to the right to uncover the connector.

It seems that this connector is not the problem with my speedo as it looks clean and dry and I have good continuity from SLABS ECU to instrument cluster.
I can also see road speed at the Motronics ECU via Nanocom, so I suspect the problem is within the instrument cluster itself.
Is it possible to test operation of the speedo using a Nanocom?
Also, has anyone found speedo and odometer problems within the instrument cluster?

Thanks Sierrafery, I appreciate your input.
I found that when I tested the speedo via Nanocom, I could measure 222Hz at the connector feeding the instrument cluster. So, I assume the fault is within the cluster itself.
I proceeded to purchase a secondhand cluster on eBay, so now waiting for that to arrive.
