Hi, if te mileage in the replacement IP is lower than the original go in BCU-utility - synk odometer to BCU, if the mileage is higher you can't do anything other than disable the odometer error warning in the settings menu
Sorry for high jacking this thread, although it is an old one, but how do I go about pairing the secondhand instrument panel(odometer) with the existing control unit using a Nanocom? I would like to retain the original value if possible.

I’m pretty sure the replacement IP has higher odometer reading. Just a couple more questions. Will the odometer still continue to count normally from the current value with the error warning disabled option? And, where do I find the settings menu?
I suppose it doesn’t really matter if the odometer shows a higher value as the vehicle has a different motor and I don’t intend to sell it anyway. I’d rather keep it and eventually give it to one of my grandchildren.
Cheers

Yes the odometer will still work starting from that mileage, to disable the flashing BCU - Settings - Transm/lock/warn - last page

I just realised I hadn’t posted the final outcome of my speedo failure.
Well, I replaced the instrument cluster and all good, but now have an odometer reading of 50,000km higher than actual.
For that matter, the secondhand motor I installed a while back has about 110,000km less than the odometer.

No it wouldn’t, but I can’t envisage it ever being for sale anyway. It’s just such a great car with a 4.6 litre engine. It suits the automatic transmission so much better.
