    Shadow bar??

    Hey all,

Anybody here have a shadow bar (non winch) on their Disco? I'm interested to know what the measurement is from the base of the grill, to the front edge of the bar.

I have a pair of 9" led driving lights (from a previous vehicle) that use a three bolt mounting bracket which is reasonably wide, and deep, and I would like to know if the bar will happily accommodate said bracket.

The pictures of the aforementioned bar that I've seen, show it may be a tight fit as the bar is designed to be very snug against the front of the disco. It's really hard to tell from the pics I've seen. It looks real tight from what i can tell...

Another thought...are the mounting brackets of the bar, long/deep enough to enable the bar to be mounted a little further outward, and extra holes drilled into said mounting brackets...?

    Thank you, appreciate any help

I’m actually back in Oz next Thursday and I was going to help you by giving you the measurements you need, plus photographs, however, you’re not coming across as particularly grateful that I’m willing to help you out so I won’t bother.

Be aware that any modification could compromise the compliance and/or deployment of the airbags and the legal ramifications of such.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Hiya,
Apologies, I can see where you're coming from. My reply was meant to be Tongue in Cheek kinda thing.
    Anywho, all good, fair point.
    Cheers,
    Mark.

    Hiya Ian,
Having looked around at various pics on the Google machine, none of the mounting brackets I've seen for these bars, have the collapsible 'kink' in them that the ARB, tjm, MCC or even the xrox ones have.....

So, and I'm guessing here, that this would make them non adr compliant....??

Me thinks I'll keep looking for an Aussie bar.
    Cheers.
