    fuse box

Hi all now I have a dry joint in my interior fuse box fuse f7 to the blower fan I have asked about this before I'm not keen to piggy back a fuse what I would like to do is open the back of the fuse box and repair it can any one tell me how hard it is to do this. I could replace the fuse box but I feel I'm just replacing one fuse box with a dry joint with another with a dry joint as I can only find second hand ones and was told that D2 and D2A have different fuse boxes thanks for any help.

they are all slightly different based on year and engine type. But I don't think you can get them apart or at least back together

they aren't too difficult to swap over. the plugs are a bit tight but a second hand one may be your best option. I part out D2s, and I only rarely sell them. The few that I have sold have been to people where theirs has failed due to them getting wet. I've not heard of them failing due to dry joints though, so you might be ok with putting a 2nd hand on in.

I had the air con issue a few years back with the dry solder. I removed the fuse box and a mate at work was able to resolder it fix the issue.
It is a bit of a fiddly job to remove the fuse box, but not too difficult.
Try the resolder before replacing. Mine is still going strong 5 years later.
