    What's this thing?

    The item in the photo has been rattling around for a while and it was finally extracted yesterday. It was sitting on the top of the transfer case, or thereabouts. It's been there a while and created an annoying rattle. Obviously it is broken off its mount but I have no idea what it actually is.

    Suggestions are welcome

    It's the bracket to hold the transfer case electrical connectors ( eg high / low, centre diff lock )

    Ahh, thank you. I figured it was for a multiplug of some sort, so that makes sense.

    Now, I wonder how the plug is suspended ...

    The plugs should be held by the front section of the mount?
