NNN TD5INSIDE TUNES. LOCKED OR NOT ??

hi folks. as above. are td5inside tunes tied to a car. my car is a 99 td5 auto with 15p engine. standard msb ecu. it has a hybrid turbo cartridge. sellers ecu in question was fitted to his pre update td5 auto when he bought it. its a nnn ecu with a td5inside stage 1 tune on it. after totaling the car he kept the ecu, intending to fit it into his next td5. he never did this. his td5inside ecu has been sitting on shelf gathering dust. so the question is whether its usable or a paperweight. thanks for your input. gofer :-)

Yeah should be able to use it on yours just email td5inside that you got the new ecu and your vin and off you go

do they send me some sort of unlock code or is it the change of vin nos just for there info. ??

Change the vin no unlock codes, I run there hybrid turbo and remap it's amazing the difference running 25psi

You will love there remap

Put it in the vehicle

Learn Security
Input injector codes from your vehicle
Set TPS to correct setting if necessary
Alter VIN in ECU if you desire (ECU has no way to check the vehicle its in)

Drive

If you need work done eg Tune Updates, you'll need to let TD5Inside know you have acquired the ECU and the new Vehicle VIN.

What are the different TPS settings? How do I know which one is correct for my car?

2 track and 3 track are the options.

Most if not all MSB vehicles will be 2 track.

So if I originally had a MSB ECU in my car, I'd have to program the NNN ECU with the 2 track TPS? Is that done via nanocom?

What kind of things would I be noticing if it were 3 track, and not the required 2 track?
