Thanks everyone for the info.
I'm assuming that fact that it's missing means that it is not essential?
I'm subject to internet fluctuations where I work and it has been more miss than hit of late.

Personally I think that would be unwise. ie. If the Inertia Switch is missing then a closer inspection may reveal that it has been bridged out therefore you would have no protection in the case of a prang, so your Fuel Pump & door functions may not activate. You hazards might be helpful also.
If bridged out, your protections are null & void & with a fire in the engine space & with the fuel Pump still going like the clappers how are you going to evacuate?
If it was mine it would be the first thing I'd replace but hey, it's your car. Well it still will be, even though it may be a smoking black wreck with a stiff or two locked inside. Why not have it 110% identified by a good Auto Sparky?[wink11]
I've basically rescued Frank from the side of the road and am located 710kms from Alice Springs. Literally in the middle of nowhere (Amata community, APY lands).
As I've not played with Disco's before (I do own a BMW and a Jeep which have similar quirky issues), limited tools and resources it's just bush mechanics 101 and social media to hack through the issues I'm encountering.
Hahahaha, providing internet connectivity is available.
From what you guys/girls are providing and from what I'm seeing under the bonnet, it looks like every shortcut/hack has been done to Frank and I just need to find the links or YouTube vids to enlighten me.
Just had a local come over asking me if I was a mechanic. This kind of scares me as I've seen what these guys can do with a piece of wire and pliers.
No one out here is bcm, TCM or car computer savvy. I guess old school is in their blood which is awesome to see when they are fixing something on the dirt😃.
