What's Against the Firewall on the Right Side of a D2 Diesel?

Been checking out the XYZ module on the D2 diesel and noticed something was missing that fills the area on the right side of the engine and the fire wall.
Can anybody enlighten me as to what it is?
There's a connection cable on the left and a round thing with a bolt through the middle of it.
Not sure where the cable runs to and wondering if it has anything to do with the XYZ module?

There is no xzy module. There is a xzy switch is on the left side of the gearbox behind the shift cable. This runs to a harness that goes through the floor above the gearbox and to the transmission ecu that is under the passengers seat.
Can you post a photo of what you are talking about?
It doesn't leak oil, Its sweating power

    Inertia switch?

If you are looking on the firewall on passenger side? It is the inertia switch. Tells srs you have stopped way to fast and deploys aibags. ?

AFAIK the inertia switch just turns off the fuel pump in a rollover, and of course can turn off the fuel pump at any random time. I have triggered the inertia switch while beating on my ARB battery tray with a hammer with thank god no airbag deployment.

There is another inertia switch in the console that triggers the air bags.

That switch won’t trigger SRS - it’s nothing to do with it What's Against the Firewall on the Right Side of a D2 Diesel?

If it is the Inertia Switch my understanding of it is...... ( a.)Cuts out the electric fuel pump ( b.) unlocks the doors ( c )switches on the hazard Lights. Well, that was what it was supposed to do on my Olde Worlde D1 but I never had the need to test it, thank God.

I recall reading somewhere when rough driving & hitting bumps hard was enough to stop the car & bring on the Hazards.
