    Reusing TD5 oil cooler gasket

I'm in the process of replacing my oil cooler and was wondering if the oil cooler gasket can be reused and maybe coated with Hylomar spray sealant before refitting? I'm fairly sure it's a steel gasket from memory.

If you use a Hylomar or loctite master gasket you could reuse it IN AN EMERGENCY, it will most likely be fine if all surfaces are immaculate. However, they are profiled to crush down during tightening, so no guarantees if you do re use it
