How commonly do these fail?

A supplier in the US has these machined in 304 SS, I'm about to order some other parts and was wondering do I add one or two to the list?

Not unheard of Rick , I've also just refitted the rod after falling out on seriously corrugated tracks a couple of times.
When they break it's usually down to excessive pressure ( maybe sticky barrel or actuator )
