    D2 V8 Not Cranking

Last Thursday 05/03/2020 Low Oil Pressure light came on. Stopped & checkjed oil level. Not showing oil on dipstick. Fortunately had a 6L container of oil on board, for an oil & filter change. Added oil, approx 3L. Restarted & turned around to head home, low Oil Pressure Light on again almost immediately.Suspect failure of engine oil cooler line.
Had vehicle transported to home on tilt tray. Unable to purchase new engine oil cooler lines. After inspection in daylight next morning I found that the top, oil pump discharge line, had dislodged from the oil cooler spigot. Removed battery box to gain access, cleaned off all oil, remade cooler line connection, topped of oil including additives.
Replaced battery box, battery, & battery leads. Attempted to start, not cranking. Recharged battery overnight, checked all fuses in both engine bay & cabin fuse boxes, all OK. Checked for faults with Nanocom, no faults apart from the 3 Amigo's. Reset. Attempted starting, nothing.
Followed RAVE process to ensure BCU & IDM were able to communicate- Key in ignition & on for 5 minutes. Again, attempted to start, nothing. Tried resetting using EKA entry process, attempted start, again, NOTHING.

Anyone have any useful advice??? Being stuck at home is not good!!

Prior to disconnecting & reconnecting battery, have not had a problem with starting in recent weeks

If the red alarm led on the dash is not on while you turn ignition to crank it's not immobiliser issue. Take it out of gear, remove relay R2 and make a bridge with a wire across the perpendicular cavities in the fusebox... if it will not crank this way the problem is on the starter solenoid's feed path... the spade connector to it used to loose contact

It appears to be an immobiliser issue. The red LED is on continuously in IGN PII.
Do not believe that the engine has seized
I cannot fathom why there is an immobiliser issue, simply removed & refitted battery. Was not having this issue prior.
Have exchanged relays placing a known functioning relay in the starter position.
Thanks for input to date, further suggestions sought

No, recently had a problem with the security system, so reset to Key Only.
Security system interference led to superlocking & immobilisation. Was able to resolve that utilising Nanocom & RAVE procedures. The same process has not been successful in this instance.

    Smile

Engine start. 5 minutes ignition on, to re-establish link between IDM -BCU, then followed RAVE EKA procedure (NOTE Procedure in Owmers Handbook is erroneous)
After EKA procedure, key into ignition & engine stated OK, a little rattly initially, but after idling for a little time it settled down. Hose not blown off, so repair seems good.

Thanks to all members that contributed suggestions, very much appreciated.
