IRB certainly hasnt gone quiet. I chat with Ian regularly. He's doing all sorts of fun things. Especially on TDCi units now.

Having spoken to Jose a few times on why, I offer the following based on our conversations:
He's at full capacity already in supplying the European market, hence why there's delays and hard to contact.
He's been burnt with the shipping before where he's been out of pocket for the costs - not sure why this is though...?
He prefers to be hands on personally on site involved in the setup and mapping. He's confirmed that he can tune them remotely, as he does this with the Turbo Technics product and his CRTurbos are no more difficult to tune, but his focus is on customer happiness and wants to be able to speak to them about what they want from it and ensure he delivers. I've explained to him that he's achieved this with me and my TurboTechnics product remotely via e-mail adjustments but...
The vehicles are often 20+ years old now so he likes to ensure that no other issues/faults exist at the same time.
In our last correspondence of a few days ago he indicated that he is working on a plan for Australia and something may come of it in the future...
There's at least another two recently. He supplied someone over here with the wrong product and they onsold it while waiting for delivery of the correct unit.
There's a large number of us running the Turbo Technics S208-1 VNT in Australia. They've been around for a long time. If I recall these were originally developed with the guys from IRB Developments that have gone off the radar in the past few years.
Pete Bell of Bell Auto Services advised me recently via Facebook chat that Turbo Technics have updated their products some time ago and the impeller is now CNC machined (should mean better vane curves are achieved which can benefit response and boost) - so those like myself, and likely you too, freddysdisco, have an older version. Despite this impeller update they are an older design that's had only one update during a 10 or more year run now.
They are a good product and are definitely superior to the standard turbo charger for achieving more response and low down torque. But they are the same size as the standard turbo charger so top end power isn't increased. As a comparison the smallest VNT Jose offers has a larger impeller but due to the design still achieves, according to Jose's claim, better response and low down due to the superior design.
AlliSport are just another reseller of the TurboTechnics product.
I too am excited to see what Alive Tuning offer. For years when the VNTs were becoming popular they chose to continue pushing their hybrid turbo offerings instead so they are late to the VNT party.
The impellers being used in these new Alive Tuning VNTs are the same brand manufacturer as those being use in the CRTurbo's offered by Jose of Td5Inside.
I have the following hesitations though:
1. New product and I don't want to be the test bunny to see how reliable they are. It may be worth waiting some time to check that quality is there and it will last.
2. Offerings - is it one size fits all, or two size options like the TurboTechnics offerings, or will it be a wide range of different options like the CRTurbos range that are built to order spec?
3. Tuner. For those already with a Td5Inside remap, Jose will generally update it free of charge (you'll have to wait a while and go through the stress of trying to contact him for weeks/months). He happily provides maps for the TurboTechnics unit as he has purchased one himself and tested it to develop these - this was before he was selling his own range of VNT though. Therefore it may be sometime before he provides remaps for the Alive Tuning offering, if ever, as he may not be willing to purchase one of them for testing now that he sells his own product.
For anyone who is considering wanting to purchase a TD5Inside CRTurbo we are establishing a Facebook Messenger Group of interested Australians for the purposes of putting a market number indicator to Jose - if your keen message me about it.

I didn't get a reply from them last year when I was chasing a replacement Dual Channel Booster Box after the original one I purchased from them died. I had three different contact e-mail addresses from their website and previous communication with them and only received a reply from one from a fella that used to work with Ian (Ada perhaps?) who wrote back to advise that they had parted ways and good luck... Therefore I just assumed. But I take back my comment then about IRB Developments having gone quiet and will amend it to IRB Developments don't respond to e-mail communication from me.
