    D1 tie rods on D2?

    Hi
    I HD steering arm and drag Link from Terriafirma and I need to replace the tie rods but there are not LH threads or RH I can't remember

    So can I use LH and RH d1 tie rods ends on my Terriafirma rod?

    Or LH and RH Deefer ones

    Just be aware the spindle where the castellated nut threads is longer on the earlier model TRE so the split pin will sit below the nut.

    You can't use the D2 nyloc as the pitch is different, 1.5 vs 1.75 and there isn't provision to hold the spindle with a torx key

    So what's the best replacement to get for the tie rod ends for the Terriafirma HD stuff?

    They seem to last better than anything else.

    I just tightened the nuts up and installed the split pins, they are pretty much hard up underneath the nuts.
    I'm just going to try and get some longer castellated nuts today/tomorrow.

    [Edit] can't get longer nuts, so I might try and drill the spindle.
    I'll make a drill guide with another nut.
