    Overflow tank pipe leaking

    Hi guys,

I have a disco 2 td5 with more than 500k. I have a leaking from the black pipe from the overflow tank and after a while the car starts to overheat. I went in various mechanics, someone said is a bad head gasket.
The radiator was changed 5k ago, also the top hose and the overflow tank cap.
    Do you have some ideas?

I also think there is a leak in the car power. But I never drove another disco and then I'm not sure about it.

Look if you cannot diagnose yourself take it to a Land Rover Specialist for evaluation.

If you are in SE Queensland there is one at Redcliffe and one near Nambour.

I went to a land rover specialist in Brisbane and he tried to one of the bottle for stopping the leaks but probably didn't work. He said that he think one of cylinder is soft and asked me $3600 fo fixing

    Yes head gasket.
I don't know whether any of themagic potions would work on a diesel.
The answer is to get it replaced by a specialist.
perhaps call a couple of specialists to compare quotes. They will have a good idea what is involved so should be able to give a ballpark quote , unless ther ear eother things wrong which you do not know about or don't tell them about.
geez $3600 seems a lot for a head gasket but I do my own work in general so cannot be sure.

Yeah i could imagine was the head. But I don't want to spent 3k ok a car with 500k honestly. It looks ridiculous. I can find another disco with 300k for this price.

Anyway, someone around Brisbane that can help me? I'll be there in around 2 weeks I think
