    td5 oil cooler hoseHi all

Hi all I have a question about the small rubber pipe that runs near the turbo and then to the oil cooler can this pipe be blanked off. Mine has some age on it and I want to change it before it gives me trouble or is there a way to protect it a bit from the turbo heat.
    Thanks Phil

    Yep, sure can.

On the very last of the D2a's that's how it comes from the factory.
I used a silicon blanking cap there as a precaution as it's right behind the turbo. (IIRC it's 19mm, I used a Samco hose cap)
Having said that the factory hose wasn't too bad, but it had only done 130,000km.

Just remember the 8mm spigot on the expansion bottle needs a blanking cap, too.
