    RAA Inpection advice

Hello wonderful folks of the Landrover life, have any of you ever needed your car to be RAA inspected? And if so, what are the important things to check or make sure are ok? I am hanging onto my license by a thread, so very close to it temporarily being revoked until my car has hand controls fitted. The dilemma is NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) do not like to generally fund extensive disability modifications to cars over 5 years old and 80000 kms. This is really an uncool rule they have when honestly, most of us with disabilities cannot work or work enough to afford such a new car! And also, I love my car, I would not want a newer one even if could afford one :O So, in order to fight this and have my cars funding for these modifications approved. I need to prove it is road worthy, safe, and will keep running for a long time to come. I don't doubt it would not pass an RAA inspection, as I know it is these things, and the recent inspection by Adelaide Hills Mechanical, there is nothing wrong with it now! But I just wanted to know what areas I should check over to make sure it would pass these inspections?
I have already contacted the legends at Adelaide Hills Mechanical for their advice and if they can do another inspection and write a report for me, but think if I also get the RAA one, I have 2 lots of supporting evidence to get this sorted asap.

Different circumstances but worth considering: RACQ inspections for prospective purchasers tend to be over the top. They will list the most minor of issues, either perceived or a possibility. It seems to be a but covering excise.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

RACT are similar. They seem to actually miss out on any identifiable issues that someone familiar with those vehicles (e.g. an independent) would notice but have a long list of minor things such as rear passenger seat clicks when reclined or rattle from front right, etc.

It seems to be a specific inspection that meets the NDIA/NDIS requirements. But they say also a qualified and compliant mechanic can also do the roadworthy inspection, they have to provide a report regarding roadworthiness and expected life span of the vehicle. Which is kind of a mute point really, they could fund mods to a brand new car that is then written off the next day. Anything can happen to any car at any point, though I do understand they need to know that car is likely to run for enough time to warrant the expense of mods. At least lots of extreme high km landies around to support long liveability RAA Inpection advice

That does sound crazy - so only those that can afford an expensive car which has high depreciation rates can get financial support!

They do know it is a Td5 Disco - that’s priceless! Can you line the roof with $100 notes to increase the market value? RAA Inpection advice

Its a hand control that does throttle and brake, that I can use with my hand disability too, then an upgraded spinner knob that has heaps of switches, back seat removed and heavy duty lifter that will lift my wheelchair in and the off road power chair that is delivered tomorrow. My car has all been checked as able to have all this and it all fits.
