    No crank

    Hey all,

So I got the td5 going yesterday. Today I pulled up at the servo, filled up, went to start the old girl, and...... Nothing.. I changed the relays and checked the fuse box... Nothing... All I had in the beast was the battery from the manual and a set of jumper leads... So I connected the positive to the solenoid (spade) and got her into town and back...

My spare battery doesn't fit and the one that's in it didn't go over 13.8v the whole trip...

Does the fact it started by jumping the starter rule the starter out as the issue? It got a hiding while trying to get this thing going and screeched more than once...

Yesterday I changed the crank sensor, sprayed the map, BCM and Earth's. The battery also took a hiding yesterday getting it going but did get it going... Was on charge the night before.. while it was not going, I also took apart the XYZ and gave it a clean up.. no more ms lights and nanocom reads the selector as P/n when it Park but drive while in neutral...

I left the spade connector disconnected after I started it and when I got home it has the exact same symptoms... So I cleaned up the connectors and now she's purring..
