Naked and curved, what should we do with this?

Well, the sagging roof is off for its new face, now I am wondering what should I do on this. Putting (1st) aluminium heatshield (the one use to wrap the turbo or exhaust) then plus (2nd) 6mm sound deadener and heat insulation, or just the 2nd one is enough?

install a reversing camera and any thing else that could have a cable run in the roof.

Yes, she will have a 360 degree birdview camera system combining with an upgraded head unit 10 inch Touchscreen WIRELESS Apple Carplay and AUTO ANDROID. So I will run the cable up there. But my concern is about HEAT proof for the roof. I hate to have 44 - 55 Celsius degree sun heat transfer via the metal roof into the cabin in the summer.

    What's up there as standard?
    I don't get much/any heat transfer & I live where it's HOT.

That photo is my original roof after removing the sagged roof liner for restoration. So i thought a bit of insulation is no harm to the car but might be better for summer.

I just put some sound deadening - Dynamat or some like brand - then refitted the roof lining.

I intend fitting a layer of upholstery padding, utilising an automotive grade spray adhesive, rated for high temperature, to adhere the padding to the roof. It should offer both reduction in noise & heat transfer. Dramatically cheaper & lower in mass than Dynamat or similar

I use a 6mm thickness insulation sound proof black foam with aluminium heat proof on one side and another side of the matt is already with very strong 3M adhesive by itself. 65sqm for only $35, the whole roof would cost me about $50 of this material. If I want to add a layer of heavy duty aluminium heatshield in front of the matt then it only cost another $40 for the whole roof. Total everything is $80, I do believe that's very cheap to compare with any other method.

Is your aim to reduce noise or heat? There are different products for each.
