I need some help with a little problem with my Td5 Disco ...
Yesterday my key fob failed. It's a fault with the circuit board and I've ordered a new one. Not having the key working meant that the engine immobiliser wouldn't disarm. I have a Nanocom, so the simple solution was to disable all of the alarm and immobiliser options so I can still drive the car until a new fob arrives. This is where the problem started ...
After a bit of trial and error, I was able to disable the immobiliser and start the car. However, somewhere, somehow, I have made a change that causes the headlights to flash while the engine is running. I assumed that I had accidentally enabled the "Police" option while fiddling with the BCU settings. When I checked with the Nanocom, the police setting was disabled. I did some reading tonight and this light flashing is not the same as the sequence enabled with police turned on. If I turn the lights on, the flashing stops.
What am I missing? I've tried all of the obvious options and nothing is having any effect. I only made changes to the BCU. I've posted a short video of the "Disco, disco" and screenshots of the current settings.
All suggestions are welcome.
