    D2 Door V D2a Door?

Can anybody tell me if a Discovery 2 front drivers door will fit a Discovery2A?
As I have written elsewhere my door was damaged, the panel beaters have sent me a photo of what looks like a D2 with good door so I just want to check before I say "Get it."
Also did the D1 have different door handles to the D2? Because I only have the photo of the side of the car & I am assuming it's a D2.

Hey Ian, do you know if Disco2 doors can be easily made to fit a Disco1?

I've often thought it would be cool to make a "Disco2 3dr" one day from a late hacked Disco1 3Dr. I've seen people change the front and rear ends, but not the doors.
    Cheers

If you've got enough money, anything's possible Simon.
I think the aperture is the same, it would probably be easier to graft a new latch to the pillar rather than modifying the door internals.
    Check the hinges too.
D1 external handles are compliments of Morris Marina.
