    Wiring (colours) for upgraded ZF 4HP24 Auto Trans

    My RRC, which for the purposes of this discussion is effectively a D2 TD5, has a ZF 4HP24 automatic transmission from a Hong Kong 4.0L Jaguar fitted some time after 2005 by the PO.
    When I bought the car in 2013, I went to Wholesale Automatics in Melbourne to have a transmission lockup kit fitted, but working on my assumption that the wiring would be the same as for a D2, they could not locate the wires to be connected to the lockup module. So for 7 years I have had an almost ready to work lockup.

    Would anyone have a lead I can pursue for the Jag 4HP24 wiring/colours so that I can finally get the connection done?

    Hmmm I have plenty jag XJ40 electrical schematics, just can’t remember if it was the hp22 or hp24 they fitted at the time. Will do some digging and advise.

    You'll have to corroborate the diagram with the colour codes and figure out which one is the lock-up solenoid

    Interesting. I always thought that jaguar put the 5HP24 behind the AJ series engine and a Mercedes auto for the supercharged version.

    You thought well, the name of that file i posted is wong cos it is 5HP24(sorry), actually i couldnt find any 4 speed auto jaguar modell, only 5 and 6 speed boxes

    Glad I wasn't imaging things I sent Gavin all the my93/94 electrical schematics and jaguar ZF 4HP24e manuals via email as they were a bit too big to upload here.

    Lady P is the same era but she has the GM box behind the V12. However all work shop manuals cover both the 6 and V12 drive trains.
