Try truck parts suppliers, they often have N70 truck batteries on special, far cheaper than the usual 4X4 parts purveyors. Cat batteries are good.
Used the car to take family to the park around 10km from home. When about to go home the car crank but not starting. Tried 3 times but no luck. Lock and unlock and can start car. Tried to stop the car and restart again after 20km drive and started fine.
This morning couldn’t start again and after work tried again but couldn’t start.
Called RACV and he said battery needs to be replaced. Alternator is fine.
The battery is optima d34 yellow top and has been good. I think it last at least 4 years.
Any suggestions for replacement battery? Or should I replace with the same one?
Thanks
Gus

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Something to add not sure need a different battery or not.
I hardly use the car. Probably once a week or once in 2 weeks.
Its cranking not a problem, but not firing up?
Never the less, I've found the bluetop (rather than the yellowtop) to be long lived under the bonnet. You can fit a bigger battery with the bluetop also.

I’ d have to recommend Delkor. My D2 had one fitted when I bought it 8.5 Years ago and it’s just starting to get sluggish if I haven’t used the car for a few days in cold weather so I’ll go close to 9 years which I reckon is pretty good.
cheers

Exide from Costco - excellent value I've got them in 2 of our vehicles.
