I'm not sure of change intervals but I do mine every 70000ks I think I paid about $70 for the last filter someone told me that the filters can be washed out and reused I have not tried this though.
Thanks phil
When to change depends on engine condition but what to look for is when the filter is clogged the pressure relief valve will vent and you’ll get an oily film developing on the outside of the canister and you’ll also see the same oily film when you’ve forgotten to periodically drain the canisterthere’s no need to ask how I know these things

Relax until you’ve done 20,000km on a new filter and then lift the bonnet / hood every week (you’ll be doing that anyway checking the fluid levels) and eyeball the canister around the valves for the aforementioned visual cues![]()
Could go to 40,000 before the filter clogs. People have been known to soak the filters in degreaser and reuse them![]()

That’s very little oil collected. Why all that trouble and not just let the breather go straight down to somewhere near the transmission?
