    steel rear bumper

    Hi all does anyone know where I can get a second hand steel rear bumper not worried about paint condition but needs to be straight and dent free.

    They seem to be rare as.I ended up going new from Rovacraft,cost $700,but does look 'smicko'!

    I bought an Terriafirna Rear bar from LRA Discovery 2 Terrafirma Bar TF090 well worth the $1450.00, thicker steel and extra hole for mounting on the body

    Britpart or one of those mobs sell them new. A few years ago they were easily found for around $500.00ish. Often called Discovery 2 HD bumper or heavy duty bumper or something of that like. Here is an example https://www.allfourx4.com.au/Heavy-D...-2-Aftermarket

    At first glance that looks almost identical to mine that was a 1/3rd of that price new. The only difference is the recovery point.

    With a more detailed look you can see that the recovery points are closer together and the end corners are different too.

    Where and how does it mount? From what I recall of mine there is a bolt into the body behind each of the bumper lights (I think this is the standard rear bumper mount method) and it has a tongue which uses the two upper bolts of the tow bar assembly.

    The bottom one also sits further towards the vehicle.
